João Pedro Howes Veiga

Hello! My name is JP, a second year student in the LSJ profile and I'm thrilled to serve as the Secretary-General for this iteration of the Dawson MUN Conference. This year marks my third year in Model United Nations, and frankly, I never thought I could have as much fun as I've had with the Dawson delegation. Over the course of this year, I've chaired an SA, coached a delegation at my former high school, and put a couple of power dels back in their place. Outside of MUN, you'll find me in other clubs like Debate and Business, at cross-country races (running away from my problems), or reading books - while reserving myself the right not to finish half of them. For those considering joining us at DCMUN 2027, know that we are eager to welcome you and that there is no greater joy than seeing delegates discover their voice, challenge themselves, and leave committee with unforgettable memories. Bring your energy, bring your ideas, and most importantly, come ready to put on a show...

Atika Ume Fazal
Under-Secretary-General of the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council
Hello everyone! My name is Atika and I have the pleasure of being your Undersecretary General of GA! I am currently a second year law, society, and justice student at Dawson and have been part of this MUN club as soon as I got into this cégep! Even before that, I was lucky enough to attend the first iteration of our conference - which was also my first MUN experience as a whole! Being able to now play a part in making DCMUN27 come together really feels like a full circle moment and I'm so glad I get to do it with all of you! I am a huge fan of all things new to me, and learning truly is my biggest passion, so no beliefs in cat killing curiosities over here! When not at school, you can catch me spending time with friends and family, especially with my two little sisters.
Georgia Leclerc
Under-Secretary-General of Specialized Agencies
Hello everyone! My name is Georgia Leclerc, and I am extremely honoured to serve as the USG of Specialized Agencies for DCMUN 2027. I am currently entering my second year in the Law, Society, and Justice profile. Last year, I had the pleasure of discovering MUN and have loved every minute of the experience. Not only has it allowed me to meet so many incredible people and learn about so many things while learning new skills. My fondness for Specialized Agencies began after my first conference at SSUNS, where I was amazed by all the aspects that make this type of committee truly exceptional. Outside of MUN, I enjoy baking, reading, and travelling, especially to Central and South America. I am so excited to work on this year's committees and to see each of you showcase your passion and creativity for MUN. I look forward to seeing the engaging debate, collaboration, and innovation that will occur during this conference.
Phoenix Breau-Elliot
Under-Secretary-General of Crisis
My name is Phoenix Breau-Elliot, and I am incredibly excited to be serving as the Under-Secretary-General of Crisis for DCMUN 2027. I am currently entering my second year of Analytical Chemistry at CEGEP, and while my studies have taught me the importance of precision and problem solving, MUN has become the place where I get to explore creativity, collaboration, and leadership. I joined Model United Nations during my first year of CEGEP, and over the past year, it has quickly become one of my biggest passions. Crisis committees have always been my favourite part of MUN because of their unpredictability and fast paced nature. The chaos of crisis is where I thrive the most, as it challenges delegates to think creatively, adapt quickly, and work together to shape the direction of the committee. Outside of MUN, I enjoy creative projects, photography, and exploring different forms of storytelling. I have always been drawn to ideas that allow people to create something unique, whether that is through writing, designing committees, or sharing experiences with others.
Bade Aktepe
Director of Equity
Hi! My name is Bade, and I’m one of DCMUN 2027’s Directors of Equity! My relationship with DCMUN is, admittedly, difficult to fit into one neat clause, though, as a law student, I suppose I should be good at clauses… I was introduced to MUN by being told that talking for an alarming amount of time could count as a skill, and I was sold. It became my favorite excuse to argue “professionally,” while everyone is obliged to listen to me. Jokes aside, what I love the most about MUN is that it gives people permission to be heard. You can walk into a room as a delegate and walk out having discovered that your voice carries further than you thought. You can spend what feels like an eternity convincing everyone that your completely ridiculous plan is actually a stroke of diplomatic genius, and somehow, it all works out. I guess that might explain why I love hiking, because I always manage to get lost, and yet, I always seem to find my way…eventually… When I’m not getting lost in the woods, I’m usually getting lost in a book or a movie (which I consume in an unreasonable amount), or I’m rock climbing (even if I keep injuring myself). Regardless, if it is born from passion, let it happen!
Kaiah Larin Joseph

Hey everyone! I’m Kaiah, a second-year student in the General Social Science program, and I’m sincerely honoured to be one of DCMUNS 2027’s Directors of Equity! I truly believe DCMUN is a place where people can discover interests and parts of themselves they never even knew they had. But beyond that, it’s a place where people can build lasting friendships, find community, and create memories that stay with them long after the conferences are over. When you won’t find me at MUN, you can most probably find me at a concert, listening to music, writing movie reviews, or thrifting! I can’t wait to see you all at DCMUN 2027!!!

Hi everyone! I’m Maple San, and I am so excited to be DCMUN 2027’s USG of PR. I am a Social Science student at Dawson and have been involved with MUN for the past 4 years. I joined DCMUN to keep up this passion, but it quickly led to meeting an incredible community that I’ve gotten to share so many experiences with. I hope that this sense of community translates to you all in our upcoming conference. Outside of MUN, I like to spend my time reading, baking, crocheting, and shopping. I'm so excited to be a part of our conference this year. Can’t wait to see you at DCMUN 2027!

Hello everybody! My name is Amanda, I am a second year Commerce student and the only Deputy of Creative Media for DCMUN2027! I am very excited to embark on this journey with my fellow Dawson Delegates to bring this year's conference to life! Model UN is such a wonderful environment where everyone gets the opportunity to share their opinions on real-world issues and meet amazing, like-minded peers. There is truly a place for everybody in MUN, whether it is to practice public speaking, collaboration under pressure or simply meeting new people. Beyond being in committee, I really enjoy painting, reading and finding cute cafes! I cannot wait to meet all of you and get to know everyone!
Mayssane Boumaza Nahla

Hey all! My name is Mayssane, proud to serve as Deputy of External Outreach for DCMUN-27. I am a Health Science student who is mostly involved in everything but sciences... Aside from studies, I love baking, making some Arabic calligraphy canvases, and reading a good fast-paced book. Knowing that just two years ago, I was quite literally thrown into the world of MUN through an unexpected opportunity, I cannot wait to meet all of you and see what you have to write in the history of our conference -- and perhaps the beginning of your own MUN adventure ⭐️

Hi guys! My name is Gisèle (or Gigi) and I’m excited to be one of DCMUN27’s logistic coordinators. As a second year student in the Social Change and Solidarity program it means a lot to me to be involved in curating a space for our future leaders to develop their voices. As a Crisis Del, I promise to make DCMUN27 unforgettable! When I’m not writing notes to the backroom, I’m listening to music and watching old movies with my two cats. I cannot wait to see all the brilliant ideas you all bring to our conference and I’m so proud to welcome you into the wonderful DCMUN community!
Katherine Ilievska
Logistics Coordinator
Hello! My name is Katherine and I am excited to be one of your Logistics Coordinators for DCMUN 2027! I am a second year Commerce student and have been introduced to MUN last year. During that one year, I have tremendously grown and developed my skills as a both delegate and a person, conference after conference. My mind works in a mathematical and logical way which is a big help in conference planning but also in GA committees. I enjoy researching and learning about real-world problems and finding feasible solutions to them. Moreover, MUN allows me to critically analyze a situation from multiple perspectives all while becoming more confident in communicating my own views. Outside of the club, I spend my time studying, discovering new places to eat out in Montreal, reading books (no matter the genre), shopping and sewing my Pinterest board, and running (occasionally). Overall, I strive to consider every small detail that often goes overlooked when present but tremendously adds to delegates’ experience at DCMUN 2027!
